These two mafic dikes cutting Paleozoic metacarbonate in the southern Inyo Mountains (near Dolomite) appeared in the 1990 film "Tremors". Location of OPTIONAL STOP 9 on the spring, 1998, Cordelleran section GSA Field Trip. The two dikes are about 20 meters apart.
