This composite dike cuts the Twin Lakes pluton along the John Muir Trail, Mt. Pinchot 15' quadrangle, and contains at least 8 coplanar mafic intrusions distinguished by subtle differences in color, phenocryst content, and, in this particular case, truncated(?) epidote nodules. A halo around the nodules appears to extends into adjacent phases.
