This mafic dike contains highly oblique foliation across its entire width which may have formed during solid-state ductile deformation within (confined to) the dike or during sinistral oblique opening during intrusion (Glazner et al., in review). We suggest that the wispy felsic segregations extending from the edges of the granite xenolith support the latter hypothesis.
